كانت البداية فى عام 1962 م للأخَوان مختار ومحمد أباظة لتكوين شركة للتجارة والإنشاءات والنقل الثقيل وإستمرت فى العمل بنجاح حتى عام 1981 م
فى عام 1982م تأسست شركة مصر للمقطورات وقطع غيرها وتوقيع عقد معاونة فنية مع شركة لانجندورف الألمانية ، فأصبحت شركة مصر للمقطورات ووسائل النقل (أباظة – لانجندورف )
